At Syncarpha Capital, we’re excited to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. We’re taking our mission to harness the power of the sun to the Garden State, as we commence the development of several community solar projects in New Jersey. What makes this even more exciting is that these projects will be built atop Public Storage buildings, marking our very first venture into the New Jersey community solar landscape.
New Jersey is a State known for its rich history, diverse communities, and forward-thinking environmental initiatives. It’s also a state that understands the value of solar energy in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, creating local jobs, and providing residents and businesses access to clean and affordable electricity. On February 15, 2023, an executive order was issued by Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey, outlining the state’s dedication to achieving complete reliance on clean energy sources by 2035.
This bold and forward-looking objective sets New Jersey on the path to becoming one of the nation’s leading adopters of renewable energy and is a large reason why Syncarpha has chosen the Garden State as the next destination for our community solar expansion through our Solar Gardens program.

Combined with our federal partnerships reinforced through the Inflation Reduction Act, these comprehensive initiatives will better protect and prepare every New Jersey community, including those on the front lines of climate change who have previously been left out and left behind.”
Our collaboration with Public Storage, a trusted name in self-storage facilities, adds an exciting twist to this initiative. By utilizing the rooftops of Public Storage buildings, we’re maximizing underutilized space to generate renewable energy. These projects not only contribute to a cleaner environment but also showcase the potential of repurposing existing infrastructure for sustainable purposes.
Community solar projects, like the ones we’re developing in New Jersey, are all about inclusivity and accessibility. They allow residents and businesses in the area to benefit from solar energy without the need for rooftop solar panels on their own properties.
